I’ve been on this inner journey for decades, but something that eluded me for a long time is the importance of having a relationship with myself.

Honestly, I didn’t know what it meant. I’d get frustrated when someone would say, “The most important relationship is the one you have with yourself.”

Cue the eye roll. 🙄

Every time I heard that, I wanted to scream into a pillow, but it’s true. I had to understand what it meant, for me.

I realized it’s about showing up the way I envision in every situation – having my own back, compassionately saying what needs to be said, owning and sharing my gifts and following my heart.

In short, staying true to me, no matter what.

It’s not always easy to do. I don’t get it right every time. I’m a work in progress.

And so are you.

Every one of my clients is learning about the relationship with self. And what it means for them.

Understanding where they continually sacrifice themselves in their lives. And WHY that matters.

There’s lots of people who are looking to you for one thing or another – partners, kids, friends, colleagues, bosses, the list can be HUGE. It takes the front seat over your own heart and soul calling.

What if it didn’t? What if you added yourself to the top of your list? What if you knew yourself so well AND cared for yourself at the level you do for others?

What if you could no longer allow your place to be in the backseat because it felt completely out of alignment?

Sometimes you just need to get on your own list and know you’re a factor to consider.

If you can do this, everything starts to shift.
